Mint Condition C10: There are no dim colors, decaying paint or filth. It has nice joints and comes with every genuine accessory. Lord of the Rings Anime PVC, if they are even now in the package, have to be evaluated too. That indicates no crinkles, wrinkles, bends, folds, damages or torn tags. Nada!

Fine Condition C6-7: A complete shape that is ordinarily called "played with condition" with definitely no lost or damaged limbs or components. It can be missing many of its genuine accessories but not all. Minor wear and tear, faded colors and loss of paint is permitted. Poor Condition C2-3: Uh oh! This item is a mess with quite loose joints, a bunch of faded colors and huge loss of paint. It most likely is broken someplace or perhaps MIA limbs. Avoid it!

It is a monthly review of the market and hence of the values you want. Get a subscription, if you can afford one, or borrow your friends. It is a monthly market cross sectional view.

Like the stock markets, the Lord of the Rings PVC figures market can experience bear and bull fluctuations too. The prices do alter more than once a year. You should be checking at a minimum quarterly, even monthly to see what the rates have become. What is popular one year might not be the second. Even big jumps can happen suddenly.

King Kong Vs Godzilla - Action Figures and Dual Endings

King Kong vs Godzilla was made in 1962. Around that time, when people realized there were two version of the movie, the myth of two different endings started: Godzilla won in the Japanese version, while Kong won in the Hollywood edition.

But regarding the end of the movie, the truth is that both versions share the same visual ending. action figures away and Godzilla returns to the sea. It can be said that the end is ambiguous; Kong does not beat Godzilla nor Godzilla wins over Kong. However, there is a difference in the soundtrack, and that difference is used by some fans to explain the myth. The 1963 King Kong vs Godzilla movie in the US theaters had no Godzilla's roar, while in the Japanese version the Godzilla roar is heard after the Kong roar. According to some Godzilla fans, because in the US version only Kong is heard, the movie goers thought Kong won.

At the time Anime PVC was created, the huge Gorilla was much more popular than Godzilla; this was quite evident among Japanese children, for example. Besides, Godzilla was evil, as a result of the prior two Godzilla movies. As a result, the right commercial approach was for King Kong to win. The ambiguous end only left a door open for Godzilla to evolve.

What is not understandable, however, is how unfair Japanese were to the Kong character appearance. Its ugly suit could be one of the reasons Godzilla action figures manufacturing companies release so few King Kong toys. For example, Bandai Co. has released only one figure in 1993. Godzilla action figures collectors know King Kong toys are rare and hard to find. However, that is what makes King Kong vs Godzilla PVC figures so valuable and interesting.

The Difference Between Dolls and Action Figures

When you hear the word "doll," the first thing that comes to mind is "Barbie". The major difference between dolls and action figures is that the former is oriented towards girls, while the latter is oriented towards boys. Dolls usually include matching outfits while action figures generally include clothing and accessories that you might not see every day.

Look at Barbie. Since her inception in 1959, Barbie has been the quintessential girls' toy, what with her interchangeable clothes, pink cars, and Malibu Beach House variations. Though the collection later included Ken, of course, Ken was by no means an action figure. His clothes, like those of Barbie, were typical day-to-day outfits, albeit ones that was masculine.

Another classic action figure collection that may come to mind is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, whose very name suggests action, and perhaps violence. Like G.I. Joe and Thundercats, the Turtles, armor, and play sets with vehicles such as tanks and artillery-studded cars. Again, while some girls may have found the Ninja Turtles appealing, they were primarily popular with boys. The villains, too, were distorted and mutated, such as Shredder and his henchmen, Bebop and Rocksteady. Perhaps these figures were meant to appeal to the same boys that liked aggressive competitive sports and war games.

By comparison, your typical "PVC figures" is muscular, especially to an exaggerated degree, and might include weapons as accessories. Two classic examples that come to mind are Thundercats and G.I. Joe. Thundercats characters, while somewhat human-looking, were normally yellow or gray-tinted, with overdeveloped muscles; their outfits consisted of tank tops or tights. Most Thundercats figures, whether male or female, included a weapon; Lion-O, for example, was packaged with The Sword of Omens, a longsword with a fiery-red handle.

Today's Anime PVC vary somewhat, but again, their appearance as a whole is about the same. Perhaps, even as times change, people's mindsets tend to stay the same. The toys produced for boys and girls, for the most part, reflect this.

Become a Smart Shopper For Collectible Action Figures

Whether you're new to action figure collecting or want to increase your buying sense, it's wise to gain as much knowledge as possible about buying and preserving the value of your collection. Collecting begins with buying, and the smarter a shopper you are, the more likely you'll end up with a collection with lasting value. Here are some basic tips to find great figure collectibles for your favorite comic book hero, sports legend memorabilia, music legends figures, or whatever appeals to you.

Start with Knowledge

Learn as much as possible about action figures and collecting in general. Read magazines and use the Internet to find out how other collectors find valuable items. Gain access to little known secrets by speaking with action figure collectors in online forums and newsgroups. Subscribe to a few newsletters or e-zines that offer weekly collector tips and resources.

And don't stop there...narrow your research to certain Anime PVC you'd like to collect. For instance, if you want to start a SCI-FI collection, research items such as Star Wars action figures, Transformers toys, Star Trek figures, etc. Perhaps you want to focus on movie memorabilia. In this case, you might consider Avatar movie toys or Harry Potter memorabilia. The key is to research specific categories of interest to find the best information about your desired items.

Watch Out for Scalpers

Scalpers operate by purchasing a large number of highly advertised or low-run collectibles off the retail shelves, and then selling them at two or three times the retail price. Though this practice is technically not illegal, it does cause the after-market pricing of PVC figures to be extremely high. The best way to avoid scalpers is to monitor local stores to see if this might be happening in your town. Or, simply buy your items online and compare retail pricing before you shop to be sure you're getting a fair price.

So the next time you find out where to buy some rare Star Wars action figures, or a great site to buy affordable McFarlane figures, share your good news with others online or even those who live just around the corner! You might even decide to start an online newsletter revealing tips on collecting sports legends memorabilia, or figures of music legends or comics such as DC Universe or Marvel legends. Whatever your hobby, I'm sure there are hundreds (or thousands) of people on the Web who share the same excitement.

How to Draw and Design Anime

Different artists have different ideas on how to design your Anime. Some prefer to write the entire script out before working on their images. Some prefer to go panel by panel, writing one panel and then drawing it before working on writing the next one. It is generally a good idea to start with at least a basic outline. This will help you ensure that you are pacing well and that you don't leave out key elements you will later have to go back and add in.

There are several ideas for inspiration for people who are unsure of how to start designing their own action figures. One idea is to study art history. Understanding the dynamics of art before you get started can be a great tool. Don't just read up on or look at pieces of art that will apply specifically to your work. Understanding the history of your art and what came before it can give you a better understanding of the art you are working on. It can also give you ideas on how to incorporate different elements into your Anime that you hadn't considered.

Reading different drawing technique books can be a huge help as well. No matter how good an artist is, there's always room for improvement. Taking advantage of different drawing exercises can be immensely rewarding in a number of ways. They will likely force you to think outside the box by doing exercises on things you aren't used to doing. Stretching your imagination will help you to be more creative in your own work. It'll also help you to learn what your strengths and weaknesses are. Some artists would never know they were particularly talented in drawing certain action scenes or particular body shapes if they didn't force themselves to try drawing exercises.

Of course drawing your Anime PVC is only half of your design. You also want to make sure you have effective and interesting writing as well. No matter how good your drawings are or how well you shade your panels, if the story is uninteresting or written poorly your reader will not be interested. Study up on writing books to learn proper techniques for creating tension, pacing and other aspects of writing. You can also go back and study examples that you particularly like. Reading you favorite PVC figures with a more critical eye can be very helpful. Pay attention to the way the writer worked on their dialog, transitions and other aspects of their writing. Make a note of the things that did and did not work for you and plan your own art accordingly.
