Iron Man 2 is being released on May 7, 2010 and promises to be a huge box office hit as much as it's predecessor. Already in stores is a the Iron Man 2 Action Figure collection, with all sorts of cool variations like the Iron Man 2 action figures concept series and movie series, as well as the Iron Man 2 action figure Armor Tech Deluxe series. This set is sold mainly with collectors in mind and shouldn't really be sold to young kids. The toys in this set are Shockwave Mission, Negative Zone Mission, and Juggernaut Mission. A favorite of these is the Negative Zone edition, with detachable missile accessories. It looks great, and standing on it's included pedestal, this will look terrific on display.
The comic book range has five figures announced at this moment. They are the Original, Original War Machine, Stealth, Crimson Dynamo, and Classic Armor. A favorite in this set is the Original War Machine. Already a fan favorite, this toy looks absolutely spectacular. The detail is modeled not after the film character, but rather the character in the Marvel comic books. With fantastic weapons, War Machine looks incredible. The classic figure in a vivid yellow and red also looks great. Fans from the 1970's will really love to get a hold of this edition.
The Iron Man 2 Anime PVC Movie series will appeal to moviegoers and newer fans, and is what most collectors are going to jump on. War Machine will be hard to find in your local toy shop because it looks amazing. With some great detail and using the armor seen in the film, this toy displayed on your shelf will look great. The other toys in the Iron Man 2 Action Figure set look great too, like the Mark VI Armor with two variants, one with power glow and one with the suitcase. Also available are Red Vortex, Inferno Mission, and others. Again, there was no scrimping on detail when these toys were designed.
For the younger audience, there's also some additions to the Mighty Muggs and Super Hero Squad set to reflect the new armors from the film. The general Marvel Universe collection also has added a few more Iron Man 2 PVC figures toys to it's range to keep up with all the hype. This film will be hot, and the Iron Man 2 action figure toys already available are feeding the fan frenzy. Expect this to be the biggest thing in Super Hero movies since the first adventure!

When determining the worth of any action figure it all depends on the mobility and what type of person this figure has been made about, a pristine packaged solid toy will fetch more dollars compared to an open toy. This has influenced the price of most of these toys especially the solid toys of famous people. Most children obtain less fun when they play with a toy such as an Anime PVC that cannot move or is limited in mobility.
Due to this many people who collect these adult figures have to purchase two toys of every adult figure so that they can be able to keep one and allow the kids to play with the other. Some of the loved figures are those figures that engage in heroic activities such as batman and superman and the ninjas which most people love to collect either for the kids or for them to keep. Most PVC figures are not costly but their costliness increases with an increase in mobility of the toys.
A toy depicting a figure such as Barack Obama, or some of the Nobel Prize winners will fetch a lot of money in the near future since most adults would love to keep it as a memory, but most kids wouldn't love it because they are not going to have much fun playing with it.
Over the past few years, the arena of licensed action figures has seen something of an influx of rock music related figures, with varying levels of success. These have proved to be a hit with many fans of the artists that companies have depicted, and an industry has been born to cater for the growing desire for sculpted plastic versions of famous musicians. The most obvious range that people will see on sale in collectibles outlets is of course the McFarlane range of licensed Elvis Presley figures. Thus far eight have been released, each showing the late rock n roller in a particular era of his career. Some have proved to be more popular than others, such as the Comeback 68 edition and Las Vegas edition, both of which have also surfaced in both 12 inch and commemorative versions as well as the regular clamshell-packed items.
Other early successes in the McFarlane range were the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison of The Doors, Ozzy Osbourne and arena legends Metallica (originally available as both single figures and an elaborate box set). More sets of KISS related Anime PVC also followed, including the perennially popular KISS ALIVE stage box set, which is still a strong seller to this day.
It does show that the demand is there for music related items other than posters and T shirts, and these companies have been bringing out wave up[on wave of figures to meet with demand. McFarlane even began making '3D album covers' of legendary albums from Led Zeppelin, the sex Pistols, Jimi Hendrix and more. They have created a new market for licensed collectible PVC figures, and music fans are now eagerly awaiting the next batch. A space in the market has been filled, and with 7 inch and 18 inch versions of various figures available, along with headknockers (think nodding dogs but sculpted to look like celebrities. Joey Ramone and Iron Maiden's Eddie are the biggies here) and all manner of other licensed items, there's plenty for fans to choose from.
The Beatles have also been a hit in plastic form, with 'Yellow Submarine' and 'Saturday cartoon' editions of the fab four being released. These items fill a need for items fans can display and pose. They give the fans the opportunity to own something physical of their idols without having to pay over the odds for the opportunity. Even Bon Jovi have got in on the act recently, with figures of Jon Bon Jovi himself and Richie Sambora finding their way onto the shelves. As long as fans want them, these collectibles will continue to be made.
Toys, over the centuries, have proven themselves to be a staple part of childhood. In fact, if asked, the average adult would likely have dozens of stories to tell about what they played with. Perhaps the image of imagining themselves as fearsome pirates wielding plastic swords would come to mind. Or maybe spending afternoons cradling a baby doll is a memory not to be forgotten. Although the trends for toys are always changing, sometimes drastically, from generation to generation, some remain constant themes; action figures are one of them. It would not be hard to figure out why, and there are a few reasons to keep in mind. They Are Portable: A toy of this type can be taken anywhere and everywhere the owner chooses. Because children frequently enjoy placing foreign objects inside their pockets and backpacks, an action figure is just the right size to be included.
They Are Collectible: For those that have grown beyond the expected age to play with toys, some adults have moulded the action figure into something that can be collected. To help them along the way, websites have appeared on the internet, offering advice and information on the worth and rarity of certain figures. Although mostly attracted to toys that were released when they were small, sometimes items perceived as having great worth in the future are purchased. With collectibles, the Anime PVC are not played with, but are in fact kept in their boxes if possible, to prevent flaws and other damage.
Toys have existed for hundreds of years, and they shall continue to exist for as long as they are needed. Many people in the world hold warm memories of playing with them, and when they pass it on to their children, so will the tradition continue. These PVC figures can be taken anywhere because of their usually small size, and grown people can continue to enjoy them by marking them as collectibles. No matter how humans choose to use or store them, none could deny what they are capable of.

When you have a large collection of action figures, you need to have the knowledge on how to protect your collections. Be it you keep them as a hobby or an investor, protecting them can make your collections last longer without any discoloration and degradation as well as fetch much higher price in the market. There are few things to take note in order to maintain and protect your beloved collectibles. The most basic thing is to move them as little as possible. It is because frequent movement on their joints will cause their joints to be loosened. Besides that, try to minimize direct contact with them from our fingers. It is because on our fingers, there is a layer of grease or finger oil that will cause yellowing to your beloved collectibles.
After making sure that our collectibles are exposed to a minimum human touch, it is time to store them. When you do the storing, there are three main concerns to be taken care of. First concern is to avoid direct sunlight when you store your collection. It is because UV light can cause discoloration and degradation on your Anime PVC. If is put under the exposure of UV light for longer period, it might cause crack and brittle to it as well. Second is to avoid a place that is high humidity. It is because if your collections are kept in a place with high humidity, it can cause damage such as mold grows on them. Lastly, you have to avoid place that is in high temperature. It will be advisable to keep your action figures in room temperature as too high or cold of temperature will cause damage to your action figures.
After you have a perfect place to store your collections, you need to think of a proper container to keep them. The best container is the sealed storage container. It is considered the best container but normally collectors or hobbyist will use them to keep those expensive PVC figures because sealed storage container itself will cost quite a high price in order to get them. The most common container that is widely used among the collectors and hobbyist is the plastic container as they are affordable and reliable.

Collecting superhero figures is not just for children. Many adults really enjoy searching out and finding original superhero figures from their favorite characters. They look online at places like eBay and other online auction sites bidding on original action figures. These action figures can be very inexpensive and only costs $5 to $10 or they can be very expensive costing several hundred dollars. The cost depends on how old the action figure is and what shape the action figure is in. Original figures are worth a lot more money if they are in good condition without any scratches, dents or other blemishes.
Superhero collectibles are more than just Anime PVC that you play with. Collectibles are figures that adults usually purchase and leave in the boxes and do not play with. These type of collectibles are different than the action figures that children purchased at toy stores. The main reason is because these collectibles are not played with, there only purpose is to remain in a box on a shelf for display. So most children do not get into collecting superheroes until they are much older and no longer feel the need to play with the collectible superhero figures.
Comic book and superhero figures are more popular today than they have ever been. With more and more new movies coming out, made from superhero comic books, it is easy to understand why these figures are so popular. Every year millions of dollars are made from movies based off of comic book heroes. These movies are not just geared towards children or adults that like to collect superhero memorabilia; these movies are made for audiences of all ages.
